Dr Deborah Trengove
I have spent four decades working with young people, first as a mathematics teacher, but mainly as a school psychologist and educational leader promoting wellbeing in schools.
I have been privileged to support many families and continue to do so through my writing and parent education. I understand how complex and challenging the role of parents is in current times but believe that they are the most powerful force in young peoples’ lives.
Through this website I share insights and practical strategies I have gained over the years and hope they are useful to those who are helping raise our next generation of Australians.
The material I share on this website is not intended to replace seeking professional support where that is needed and I encourage young people, their parents and carers to seek assistance through whichever pathway is appropriate for them: general practitioners, youth mental health services, school wellbeing staff, private mental health professionals or public health services.
